Fatal fire in Scugog Township, Ontario
KJ Mullins-Toronto: A person died Sunday during a house fire in Scugog Township Sunday evening.
The Durham Regional Police responded to a residential house fire on Regional Road #57 and Hiawatha Road in Caesarea. Scugog Fire Service and EMS were on the scene when the police arrived treating two residents who suffered injuries during the fire. Inside the residence a third victim was located and pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld at this time.
The fire is under investigation with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office along with DRPS Major Crime Homicide and Forensic Identification Units.
