House party leads to shootout in Scarborough

Twenty-two people have been injured and two have died following a fight at a neighbourhood party in Scarborough Monday evening that Toronto Police Chief Blair calls the most serious crime Toronto has ever seen.”

Alcohol, an altercation and guns lead to the worse shooting in Toronto’s recent history. Children, including an infant who was shot, were in the area as the bullets flew. In the end 2 were dead and 19 are now in hospital. Three of the injured were trampled as people ran towards safety.

The police has recovered a handgun, a person of interest and are searching for more suspects as the day breaks after one of the city’s most dangerous nights.

A young teenage girl and a man in his 20′s have died from their injuries resulting from the shooting Monday night at Danzig Street.

At the scene Chief Blair stated, “Tonight’s event, I think, is shocking to every Torontonian. I think it will be shocking to all of Canada,” Police Chief Bill Blair said from the scene of the crime. “The level of violence is something we have never experienced.”
