US fugitive nabbed in Toronto
The hunt for an alleged murderer from the United States ended August 10 in Toronto after a routine traffic stop.
On August 7 a man calling himself Yu Chen was stopped and arrested near Sandhurst Circle in Toronto for Over 80mg Operation. As part of his arrest he was finger printed. He was released from custody until his court date.
When Yu Chen’s finger prints were put in the system it was found that he was a wanted fugitive from Philadelphia. Chen’s real name is Kai?Guo Huang, a man wanted for murder, conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime and abuse of a corpse.
In 1998 a man was murdered and dismembered in Philadelphia. On August 10 the Toronto Police Service Fugitive Squad, assisted
by the Philadelphia Police Department, US Marshals Service, FBI and CBSA located and arrested Huang. He is in custody in Toronto awaiting extradition proceedings.
