On Thursday Toronto Police hosted a BBQ in their courtyard at headquarters for Because I Am A Girl. Today’s lunch hour was festive with a DJ bringing the fun in while the chefs were busy grilling up burgers and sausages!

Because I Am A Girl knows that one of the quickest ways to make changes in poverty is be empowering girls around the world.

Today’s BBQ was a fundraiser that offered a great deal for a burger or sausage lunch while raising funds for the agency. Seventy-nine percent of funds donated to Because I Am A Girl goes to supporting programs that benefit children and families. Those programs include scholarships, building schools, nutrition, health centres and more.

The Toronto Police host BBQs throughout the year to raise funds for important charity work.
