Elvis Stojko shines at CNE
In September this year’s ice show at the CNE is featuring Olympian Elvis Stojko. The show is the same as it was in August with two added acts featuring Stojko.
Stojko is a native Ontarian, born in Newmarket. He won the Silver during the 1994 Olympic Games in Norway and again in 1998 when the games were in Japan. In 2003 he turned pro skating in Canada and the US. He retired from skating on August 10, 2006.
Elvis was the first man to land a quadruple/triple jump combination in 1997.
Today at the CNE the audience cheered as their hometown ice hero took the ice in his first solo performance. He showed that he still has ‘it’ after all these years. He also was a hit for the ladies sitting in front row seats. Some of the visitors got a snog with the ice star.
