Celebrate Yonge
Yonge Street is one of Toronto’s busiest streets. Celebrate Yonge is a four week event where Torontorians are invited to slow down and enjoy the area.
Wooden planters crafted by the Carpenters’ Union are in place as temporary barriers on Yonge Street from Queen to Gerrard.
Outdoor furniture has been placed along the street in public seating zones. There are 11 themed event areas with art, event programming, games and more.
The event was created by the Downtown Yonge BIA and has been supported by City Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam.
