Partial closure of intersection at Spadina and Front this weekend
The City of Toronto reports that the intersection of Spadina Avenue and Front Street will be partially closed for TTC streetcar track replacement work from 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 20 to 4 p.m. on Monday, October 22.
All eastbound traffic on Front Street approaching Spadina will be required to turn right and travel southbound on Spadina Avenue. All westbound traffic on Front Street approaching Spadina will need to turn right and go northbound on Spadina Avenue.
A minimum of one lane of traffic will be maintained for northbound and southbound traffic on Spadina Avenue throughout the construction period.
During the closure, pedestrians will not be able to cross Spadina Avenue at Front Street. Pedestrians who want to cross Spadina Avenue must do so at either Bremner Boulevard to the south or at King Street to the north.
Alternative eastbound and westbound routes for drivers include Lake Shore Boulevard and King Street. Bathurst Street and York Street are alternatives for northbound and southbound traffic.
